Back then, the threat was just a low rumble, barely discernible. As the 2020 election draws near, the issue of the suburbs is becoming a large scale temblor.
Americans better sit up and take notice. The suburban way of life, first made possible by the affluence of the post-WW2 period, will disappear if Democrats win this next election cycle.
Joe Biden and the Democrats want to abolish America’s suburbs. The program to abolish middle-class neighborhoods was given teeth during the administration of Biden’s former boss, Metrosexual Urbanite Barack Hussein Obama.
Under Obama’s leadership, the suburbs came under attack by the left as a source of social inequality and “white privilege” and “white supremacy.”

The policy initiated by Obama was called AFFH, Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing.The program and it’s policies is administered by HUD. The policy is a philosophical and political attack on suburbs. It has been called a War on the Suburbs in America. It is an attempt to end a way of life.

Under the Obama Administration, HUD made it their mission to radically change the makeup of America by attacking the suburbs. Obama declared in February 2009 that the days of suburban sprawl were “over.” Obama appointees at HUD and EPA tended to come from big cities in blue states.

The AFFH program (during the Obama administration) requires any town or other jurisdiction receiving federal housing funds to keep track of statistics with regard to race, disability, familial status, economic status, English proficiency, and other categories. Any discrepancy between the community’s records and targets set by the federal government is considered evidence of discrimination and funds might be withheld.
AFFH gives FREE federal grant money to the suburbs. But what they don’t tell you is that by taking the money, you the suburbs will be forced to gentrify your neighborhoods with low-income racially diverse high density housing.
The Trump administration’s HUD, under the leadership of Ben Carson, has moved away from Obama’s goal of the AFFH.
In 2017, Department of Housing and Urban Development Secretary Ben Carson said that HUD will look to “reinterpret” the Obama administration’s AFFH rule, which required cities and towns receiving federal funding to examine their local housing patterns for racial bias and to design a plan to address any measurable bias.
In a more recent statement, HUD Secretary Ben Carson indicates that the Trump administration’s new rule removes the federal mandate to address systemic housing discrimination and places control over local housing efforts with officials in those cities and towns.
Candidate Biden intends to restore the Obama AFFH program. The issue has come up during Joe Biden’s 2020 presidential campaign. Tucker Carlson has discussed the effects that AFFH will have on the American way of life. Carlson also discussed Biden’s plan to continue the regulation.
Tucker Carslon said in part:
Americans are fleeing urban areas in huge numbers. Big cities are just too mismanaged, they’re too dangerous. New York City lost 53,000 people in 2019 – they will lose far more than that this year. Most of these refugees have relocated to the suburbs, where they imagine they are safe from the effects of disastrous urban policy. But they’re not. Democrats want to abolish the suburbs. They are too clean and nice, therefore by definition, they are racist. The Biden campaign has highly specific plans on how to do this.
It’s called Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing, it’s a HUD regulation, it was written during the Obama Administration. Biden’s advisor’s plan to enforce it. It will cut off critical federal funds from municipalities unless those municipalities submit to federal control of urban planning. Towns will be ordered to abolish zoning for single-family housing – because single-family homes, needless to say, are racist. Low-income, federally subsidized apartments will go up in the suburbs. It’s a good bet you won’t see any projects being built in Aspen or Martha’s Vineyard or anywhere else Eric Holder vacations. But in your neighborhood? Oh yeah.
There are several reasons for Democrats to destroy the suburbs.
Destroying the suburbs is a way of punishing those who refuse to bow to the totalitarian Democratic Party. Also, it is a way of breaking up these communities, urbanizing them, and making it easier for big business to move in and for big government to exert control. Also, most suburbs vote overwhelmingly conservative. Flooding the suburbs with democrat low-income voters will break conservative strongholds.
Biden just might be able to pull off what he has called a “fundamental transformation.”
The suburbs are the swing constituency in our national elections. If suburban voters knew what the Democrats had in store for them, they’d run screaming in the other direction. Unfortunately, Republicans have been too clueless or timid to make an issue of the Democrats’ anti-suburban plans. Some Republicans have even signed on to the scheme. It’s time to tell voters the truth.
The Democrats have already initiated some of these changes in areas that have long been controlled by their party. The results have been disastrous. Think Ferguson MO. It also had the impact of creating ghettos in suburbs where once there was none. And former Democratic Senator Barbara Mikulski of Maryland has admitted that Section 8 vouchers replace “vertical ghettos with horizontal ones.”
The Biden plan to re-energize the Obama AFFH policy will be a disaster for not only the suburbs but for the nation. Biden has stated that he will restore the Obama-Biden AFFH with an executive order that will be unbreakable.
The Democrats are using a multitude of different strategies to seize power in November. Once in, they will initiate programs, either through legislation or executive orders, that will make it impossible for anyone to pry them out of the seat of power for decades to come. THEY MUST BE DEFEATED.
