If you caught a 20 year old man in your 14 year old daughter’s bedroom, what would you do?
Here’s what an angry father in Georgia did.
A Georgia father was arrested for assault after finding a man in his teenage daughter’s bedroom and reportedly beating him and firing his gun as the suspect ran away.
That’s right, he’s been charged with aggravated assault after he attacked a pervert he found in his 14-year-old daughter’s bedroom.
Here’s the pervert, Keywontrezes Humphries, 20, a couple of days after the Dad, Ismael Casillas was finished with him.
A GOOD BEATING, BUT NOT GOOD ENOUGH?
Casillas’ daughter met Humphries online playing Xbox, and the man drove two hours to visit her and had climbed through her bedroom window.
Humphries has been charged with child molestation for having a sexual relationship with underage girl and could face additional charges.
Casillas pounced on and beat Humphries, knocking out and chipping several of Humphries’ teeth, and choking the intruder, according to law enforcement officials in Coweta County.
Humphries fled the home as Casillas called on his wife to bring him his gun. And after the 20-year-old jumped out of a window, the dad met him in the front yard and continued the beating, threatening his life and firing shots.
The father then ran after the suspect, continued attacking him, and fired shots at him as he fled.
And so the father was arrested for assault.
Officials said they understood Casillas’s fury in attacking Humphries but added that firing a gun crossed the line since Humphries was no longer a threat to him. (To me, he was a threat as long as he could come back after my daughter. LM)
Investigators say they are sympathetic with the dad’s anger, but say he crossed a legal line when firing shots as the man ran away down the street.
Investigators say there is a limit, a line, that even a lenient Georgia law allows for homeowners defending their families. Investigators with the sheriff’s office said that had Casillas allowed the unwelcome guest to leave after the thrashing, they might not have pursued legal actions against him.
Something similar happened earlier this year, in Scottsdale, AZ.
On May 13th, a 41-year-old father, Aaron LaTowsky, shot and killed an intruder that he found standing naked inside his daughter’s bedroom. The suspect, 18-year-old Cameron Yoe, was believed to have tried breaking into several homes that evening prior to being taken down by the armed father.
LaTowsky described the moments when he entered his home that night to find the intruder:
“So, I came inside, and I saw one of our side doors was open and [the dog] was barking down the hall towards my kids’ bedrooms. “
What LaTowsky found inside the bedroom could be described as a parent’s worst nightmare. A man standing there, stark naked, toting a weapon. However, LaTowsky had a weapon of his own in his hands at the time – a shotgun.
NO CHARGES FILED
“He basically was lunging at me, so it was very quick. He had his hands in the air. I could see something dark or black coming at me, and again it was very, very close, so I fired almost immediately. God Bless America and the Second Amendment. Glad I was able to protect my family.”
