As Donn has reported, Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg dead at 87.
Just minutes ago, at his rally, Trump spoke of nominating 2, 3, or 4 Justices in the next term. (He wasn’t aware of her death when he made the comments. We’ll see how the MSM plays this one) Now it is even more imperative that he be re-elected!

I checked into Fox News Los Angeles for the latest. They are singing her praises as such a wonderful and irreplaceable justice. “What a huge loss”. They’re planning how they block Trump and McConnell from nominating, i.e. which republicans can be turned to vote with democrats to block a vote until after the election. Collins from Maine has already said she’d vote to wait. Romney’s name came up of course.

- Maine Sen. Susan Collins told the New York Times, “I think that’s too close, I really do.”
- Alaska Sen. Lisa Murkowski in September said, “Fair is fair,” and she would not vote to replace RBG before the election.”
- South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham in October 2018 said, “If an opening comes in the last year of President Trump’s term, and the primary process has started, we’ll wait to the next election. And I’ve got a pretty good chance of being the Judiciary [Chairman]. Hold the tape.”
- Iowa Sen. Chuck Grassley said in July he would follow the Biden rule, “I’m just following what was established by the Biden Rule in 1986 and then emphasized by him in 1992… They set the pattern. I didn’t set the pattern. But it was very legitimate that you can’t have one rule for Democratic presidents and another rule for Republican presidents.”
McConnell says there will be a vote.
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said unequivocally Friday night that President Trump’s Supreme Court nominee to fill the vacancy of late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg “will receive a vote on the floor of the United States Senate.”
IT’S actually a good time for this to take place. Time for the Republican congress to put up or shut up. True conservative voters will be watching. ‘Are you a true conservative member of congress, or are you a secret Anti-Trumper, biding your time?’ What say you, Lindsey Graham? Also, this topic will overshadow the coronavirus fake news, for a while at least. The dems were grasping at straws to find “the most important issue”. Now they have one.
