The latest fear-mongering attempt in the global warming hoax community has them warning that Venus became uninhabitable because of climate change and the same thing, they say, will happen to Earth. They claim if we don’t address “climate change” we will share the same fate as Venus. Obviously there were never Venusians driving gas-guzzling SUVs but then again global warming alarmism is based on “liberal science,” which the rest of us call “bullshit.”
Here’s the Word Economic Forum warning Venus was once Earth-like, but climate change made it uninhabitable:
We can learn a lot about climate change from Venus, our sister planet. Venus currently has a surface temperature of 450℃ (the temperature of an oven’s self-cleaning cycle) and an atmosphere dominated by carbon dioxide (96 per cent) with a density 90 times that of Earth’s.
Venus is a very strange place, totally uninhabitable, except perhaps in the clouds some 60 kilometres up where the recent discovery of phosphine may suggest floating microbial life. But the surface is totally inhospitable.
However, Venus once likely had an Earth-like climate. According to recent climate modelling, for much of its history Venus had surface temperatures similar to present day Earth. It likely also had oceans, rain, perhaps snow, maybe continents and plate tectonics, and even more speculatively, perhaps even surface life.
Are they using the same climate modeling that predicted the end of life on Earth in 10 years? Or the climate modeling that 10 years ago predicted the end of life on Earth right now?
Less than one billion years ago, the climate dramatically changed due to a runaway greenhouse effect. It can be speculated that an intensive period of volcanism pumped enough carbon dioxide into the atmosphere to cause this great climate change event that evaporated the oceans and caused the end of the water cycle.
Look out, you stupid Earthlings, don’t end up like Venus!
While the WEF says we have to take drastic measure to avoid the fate Earth’s “sister planet” there are more that a few flaws in this warning. First, they say that this is only a “hypothesis” and it is based on absolutely nothing.
No one has turned up any evidence that Venus was ever inhabited by anything, let alone higher life forms that use fossil fuels for energy, which is what they claim is causing climate change on planet Earth.
In fact, this hypothesis speculates that Venus became uninhabited because of volcanos, which makes it even dumber since we have had massive volcanic eruptions over the course of history on this planet.
Then there is the fact that if there was ever life on Venus, it would not have been the same as life on Earth. Venus is much closer to the Sun than Earth so it gets hot with way more radiation. Also, Venus takes 243 Earth days to complete 1 rotation on its axis, which means that 1 day lasts over 8 months. If the Sun didn’t set on the Western Hemisphere of Earth for a week, things would get scorched and all life would be gone. The Eastern Hemisphere meanwhile would freeze up in darkness and all life would be gone.
Nothing more than microscopic single-cell organisms ever lived on Venus, if even that, because the planet lacks basic characteristics of a place that can sustain life.
The hypothesis of these global warming alarmists then becomes: Since volcanos, like the ones we have on Earth, made an uninhabitable planet more uninhabitable, we have to buy electric cars and pay way more for unreliable wind power. Liberal science is awesome!
