A lot of Twitter-ers delete tweets. Too bad we all can’t make the sometimes stupid things we verbalize go away.**
Sometimes, we can make our comments posted to social media disappear from the public forum…unless someone grabs a screenshot. Dang.
Meghan McCain tweeted something that showed some understanding of human nature and sympathy. But the violent blowback caused her to DeleteTheTweet. What highly offensive opinion set off her usually adoring fans?
Concerning the passing of Rush Limbaugh, Meghan asked people to “show grace when famous people they disagree with die. Everyone has a family and people who loved them.”
In typical cowardly RINO fashion, McCain backed off almost instantly. She caved in to the comments of the haters.
Here is a sampling. (Remember, Rush had only been deceased for a very short time.) As you read these, note the total lack of self-awareness, a mark of liberals.
From Jared Yates Sexton, political commentator, associate professor at Georgia Southern University.
“Rush Limbaugh was one of the most harmful and poisonous people in the modern United States of America. His pursuit of wealth and power hurt untold numbers of people and wrought incalculable damage to politics as a public good, society as a whole, and the planet itself.”
And from pediatrician and writer Daniel Summers.
“Rush Limbaugh was a terrible human being in life, and I refuse to abide by the convention that his death absolves him from criticism for his legacy of bigotry.”
Next, Crooked Media cohost Louis Virtel. This guy blames Rush for he, Louis, being an asshole.
“Once I learned my aunt listened to Rush Limbaugh, I knew never to speak to that aunt again. Thanks, Rush!”
Another Twitter user wrote,
Rush Limbaugh helped create today’s polarized America by normalizing racism, bigotry, misogyny and mockery. He was a demagogue who got rich off of hate speech, division, lies and toxicity. That is his legacy.
From The Huffington Post,
Rush Limbaugh was a bigot and a misogynist who saturated America’s airwaves with cruel lies and conspiracy theories for decades, transforming the GOP in the process.
Rolling Stone titled their obituary
“Rush Limbaugh Did His Best To Ruin America.”
And from some outright kooks
rush limbaugh got hit by a train and exploded. he crapped himself right before the train hit him also. and the train was filled with dog poop.
karma will not allow me to say anything about Rush Limbaugh’s death other than this: may he get the afterlife he earned
RIP Rush Limbaugh, he got sucked down a toilet while shouting racial slurs
This afternoon, a trending phrase to criticize Limbaugh after his death is “Rest in piss”.
I believe that we have absolutely nothing in common with the sick left, and we never will. There will never be “unity” with such despicable people.

Too bad we all can’t make the sometimes stupid things we verbalize go away.
I once heard an interesting illustration.
John spread a vicious rumor about Sam. The rumor spread far and wide. Sam’s reputation was damaged and both he and his family suffered greatly.
Some time later, John learned that the rumor was false. He felt very bad about the harm he had done.
John approached Sam and offered an apology and sought forgiveness. “I’ll do anything I can to undo the harm I’ve caused.”
Sam replied that he might, in time, be able to forgive John. But then he added, “As for undoing the harm, I’d like you to do something for me. Here’s an old feather pillow. Take it, and come with me.”
John led Sam to a busy intersection. “Tear the pillow open, and dump out all of the feathers.”
Though it was an odd request, Sam did as John asked.
The traffic, whizzing by in all directions, soon spread the feathers far and wide. John looked quizzically looked at Sam. “Now what?”
John responded, “Gather up all of the feathers and put them back in the pillow.”
“Why, that’s impossible! The feathers are everywhere! I can never fully restore the pillow!”
“And in the very same way, because of the rumor that you spread, I can never fully restore my reputation.”
