Here’s your daily reminder that the lights are on at the White House but nobody’s home. Joe Biden claims that he served as vice president for 36 years. I know Barack Obama’s presidency seems like an eternity but it was only 8 years. Hell, Biden’s illegitimate presidency feels like 36 years and it’s only been 9 months.
Biden went to his birth place, Scranton, Pennsylvania, to sell his $3.5 trillion “Build Back better” socialist spending bill. He started off by telling that boring untrue story about how many miles he logged on Amtrak trains:
“I’d ride every day. I commuted every single day for 36 years as prez, vice president of the United States,” claimed Joe.
He’s a bit confused on which office he held but it’s the number that’s the real issue here. Joseph Robinette Biden was sworn in as Vice President of the United States in January 2009 and left office in January 2017. That’s 8 years, not 36.
Since he is a lying dog-faced pony soldier, maybe Joe was talking dog years. I really want to give him the benefit of the doubt because his cognitive decline is uncomfortable to watch, but even those numbers don’t add up. Joe was vice president for 56 dog years.
There is nothing he could be talking about that makes sense out of his “36” claim. He was vp for 416 weeks, 96 months, 32 seasons, and 52 episodes of House of Cards.
If the White House addresses this factually challenged claim, and they won’t, they’ll say he said it in jest but Biden was dead serious during this speech. He constantly reminded the 5 people who attend it that he was not joking:
“2,100,000 miles on Amtrak. Hear me now? Not a joke.”
“A lot of the folks at Amtrak became my family. Not a joke.”
“I learned from my Grandpop that money doesn’t determine your worth. He told me and that’s not a joke.”
“I wasn’t very big. You could beat me but I’d hurt you. You think I’m kidding but I’m not.”
“It’s a reason why we leapt ahead. Not a joke.”
“Our infrastructure used to be the best in the world. Not a joke.”
And that was just in the first 15 minutes or so. Face it, Biden ain’t joking around here.
Joe went on to speak for another 40 minutes and I’m sure there were more Bidean gems in there but I had to stop watching because I just don’t hate myself that much.
When Donald Trump was president, The Washington Post kept a running tally of the lies they claimed he made. It was almost all stuff that the WaPo disagreed with and not necessarily untruths or false statements. Joe Biden is a “damn liar, man” but the WaPo announced they would not be fact-checking his bullshit because they claim he’s too honest.
The WaPo’s head fact-checker, Glenn Kessler further explained the lack of scrutiny on Biden because, “The best fact checks are pinned on a number, uttered by a politician. We then use that number to dig into policy issues.”
Here’s a number, 36, uttered by a politician. Biden claims he was vice president for 36 years. That’s a very easy number to fact-check since there are extensive record of Biden’s time in the office of the vice president. Also, nobody has ever served as vice president for 36 years.
The real reason why the liberal media won’t hold Biden accountable is because they are the democratic party’s Ministry of Propaganda but also, any fact-checking might let the cat out of the bag that Joe’s brain is a chewed piece of gum stuck to the inside of his brittle skull.
