You knew this was coming: being white is now officially racist. Someone hung signs at a Utah University reading “It’s OK to be white” and the school is investigating it as a hate crime. If it’s a hate crime to think it’s okay to be white, then not only isn’t it okay to be white, it’s racist.
The Standard-Examiner reports that someone put “It’s OK to be white” fliers all of over Weber State University in Ogden, Utah. School president Brad Mortensen said that they are not only investigating this “hate crime” but also forming a special advisory council on race and diversity.
“Any form of racism is unacceptable at Weber State University. We condemn the actions of those responsible for these (fliers),” said Mortensen.
If a flier saying it’s okay to be white is determined to be racist by Weber State, clearly the school is not oaky with people being white on their campus.
Mortensen went on to characterize the fliers as something that would, “cause people to fear for their personal safety.”
Not only is being white not okay at Weber State, it’s a crime:
“Inappropriately posting fliers or other materials in this way amounts to criminal mischief, and WSU Campus Police investigate each incident fully,” said university spokesperson Allison Hess. “We condemn the actions of those responsible for these flyers.”
They condemn the idea that being white is acceptable? Kooky.
Students, led by the Weber State chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, held a protest to demand … it’s actually unclear what they were demanding, but:
The anonymously placed verbiage is a form of threatening students of color, protestors said, and they should have been told of the situation.
If they didn’t know about it, why did they protest it? Also, they apparently knew about it because they fell its a threat to students of color for a white person being okay with his or her whiteness.
Here’s the thing, this is actually a trap and all of these hysterical dipshits fell for it. This is from the ADL:
The phrase “It’s Okay To Be White” is a slogan popularized in late 2017 as a trolling campaign by members of the controversial discussion forum 4chan. The original idea behind the campaign was to choose an ostensibly innocuous and inoffensive slogan, put that slogan on fliers bereft of any other words or imagery, then place the fliers in public locations. Originators assumed that “liberals” would react negatively to such fliers and condemn them or take them down, thus “proving” that liberals did not even think it was “okay” to be white.
And that’s exactly what happened.
This is along the same lines as how liberals claim “All Lives Matter” is racist. You can say “Black lIves Matter” but if you include everyone to treat them equally, suddenly it’s a hate crime.
Same goes for “It’s OK to Be White.” You could say “It’s OK to be black” and that would be an empowering statement. The other way around and it’s racism.
The sign didn’t say it was better to be white than black nor did they make mention of any other races. They simply said it perfectly fine to be white but liberals disagree because they think all white people should hate themselves for what the democrats did to black people.
