This year, the Supreme Court overturned a New York law that made getting a concealed carry permit next to impossible.
But the insanely liberal state quickly made things worse, by passing a new prohibitive law.

The new measure declared most of the state a “gun free” zone which ensured that carrying a concealed firearm was illegal nearly everywhere.
Quickly, several lawsuits were brought before the courts, and the NY Supreme Court has already weighed in, ordering lower courts to judge on this law—in light of its own ruling.
And now, one federal court just shot down part of this gun control measure’s restrictions.
A federal court judge in Buffalo, NY has granted a temporary restraining order in a case filed by the Second Amendment Foundation that challenges New York State’s new concealed carry law, declaring the state’s “place of worship” restriction is unconstitutional.
The order is effective immediately and prohibits New York’s enforcement of this provision.
The state banning concealed carry of a firearm at a church or similar locations may sound good on the surface, however, that logic is illogical. Gun-free zones have been shown to be magnets for criminals and would-be mass shooters.
Those intent on wrongfully using a firearm and committing harm know that their victims will be unarmed and defenseless in gun-free zones. This is why there are so many shootings at places Americans are not allowed to carry firearms concealed.
In recent years, we’ve seen a horrible line of shootings taking place at churches and synagogues. The only real solution is for places of worship to provide protection from would-be killers.
But not every church has the budget for armed security. The obvious alternative, of course, is for some attendees to be armed and prepared, should the worst occur.
New York’s strict new law is effectively putting worshippers in harm’s way.
The court’s decision is part of a larger attempt by Americans to knock down this new law. Likely other parts of the law will also be struck down in due time.
