FOX SNOOZE
Perhaps like many of you, I was a big fan of Fox News. Not so much for the past couple of years. If you remember, years ago, “Hannity and Colmes” was a popular show. Colmes was an aggravating liberal, I’d turn down the volume when he blathered on. When Fox got rid of Alan Colmes, that made the programming that much more enjoyable.
I still like several of the Fox programs and hosts. A lot of the morning programming is OK. Also, the Prime Time lineup is good. Tucker is killing it ratings-wise. The summer has been filled with news about protests, violent riots, and election politics, and people are turning to FOX News primetime more than anything else. Not just other cable news channels, but all of TV. That’s right, Fox News was the most-watched channel on all of American television over the summer of 2020. Conservative viewers are loyal, and the ratings show the type of programming that America is turning to. WILL FOX TAKE NOTE AND GO BACK TO IT’S CONSERVATIVE ROOTS?
Fox Business also has good programming. Both have some good weekend segments.
But Fox has hired several idiots. Juan Williams, Marie Harf, Donna Brazile and others really stink. As with Colmes, I tune them out. Then there’s Fox News Sunday. Wallace used to pretty good at walking the middle ground. Now, he cannot contain himself. He’s a rabid anti-Trumper and he let’s it all hang out. It was a program that I never missed. Now I can take it or leave it. I’ll watch the first Trump-Biden debate, but not to see the moderator, Wallace.
People historically didn’t tune in to Fox News to listen to liberals. There is enough of that on all other channels. Fox was a welcome relief.
Now Fox seems to get worse and worse. Note these 2 examples as evidence of Fox’s drift leftward.
SHAMEFUL: Fox News Censors Newt Gingrich for Correctly Stating George Soros’ Role in Fomenting BLM Terror
Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich mentioned George Soros’ role in supporting Black Lives Matter and ANTIFA terror displays.
Newt brought out the fact that it is district attorneys funded by George Soros who bear responsibility for the violence because they allow violent rioters to be back out on the streets.
That’s when Marie Harf interjected. “I’m not sure we need to bring George Soros into this.”
“He paid for it,” Gingrich responded.
“George Soros doesn’t need to be part of this conversation,” Harf reiterated.
“Okay. So it’s verboten?” asked Newt.
“Alright, we’re good,” host Faulkner said to cut Gingrich off. It seemed pretty obvious to me that Faulkner was getting instructions through her earphone.

Strange stuff. Why cut off reference to Soros? What’s the connection between Soros and Fox News?
Then there’s Juan on the subject of the Trump middle east peace agreements. The MSM has had nothing good to say about the progress we’re seeing. Their derangement has blinded them to any good accomplished by the Trump administration. Add Juan to the Middle East naysayers.
During a segment Tuesday on Fox News’ “The Five,” Williams claimed that recent peace deals between Israel and the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain brokered by President Donald Trump are actually “accelerating” the “chance of war” in the Middle East.
“The Five” panelists were discussing recent remarks made by Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, in which she called the deals a “distraction.”
“It is [a distraction],” Williams said. “The real trouble here is between the Palestinians and the Israelis, and that situation has not been helped. The real action here is the United States giving arms, giving serious arms to UAE potentially to go after the Iranians,” he argued. “And so what we’re doing is stirring up a proxy war, and that doesn’t diminish the chance of war or disruption in the Middle East — it accelerates it.”
Goodness. What a partisan hack. What a moron. I guess the one positive thing I might say about Williams is that he’s not afraid of going up against the other panelists. But I tune him out.
And so Fox News no longer holds my attention as it once did. I watch some of the show clips that are available on YouTube and other outlets. Even that has changed. I used to be able to watch unlimited clips on ROKU, but no more. Now it’s pay to play.
It will be interesting to see which way Fox News tracks after the November election.
