In the vice presidential debate, democrat Kamala Harris lied about Trump, fracking, the Green New deal, and failed to answer questions on packing the SCOTUS. Those brave liberal media fact checkers let all of that slide because, as was already mentioned, she’s a democrat. They did however go after Mike Pence for telling the truth. The Vice President said that there has been rioting and looting in this country since George Floyd’s death and NPR has determined that was a lie somehow. Apparently all of the violent destruction you’ve seen on the TV was just a figment of your imagination.
Check out what your tax dollars go to pay for:
PENCE: There’s no excuse for what happened to George Floyd, and justice will be served. But there’s also no excuse for the rioting and looting that followed.
This is a misleading statement that has been constantly repeated by the Trump administration.
That’s weird because I specifically remember Minneapolis burning to the ground in violent riots following George Floyd’s death. They even took over a police station and then torched it. I also remember these violent protests spreading to nearly every major city in the county. I also remember the riots and looting in Portland, Oregon because they have been going on constantly since June.
How in the hell can NPR call Pence’s statement a lie? Well, with bullshit:
The overwhelming majority of demonstrations associated with Black Lives Matter and racial justice have been peaceful. A report released last month from the US Crisis Monitor, a joint project by the Armed Conflict Location & Event Data Project (ACLED) and the Bridging Divides Initiative at Princeton University, found that more than 93% of protests over the summer were peaceful.
ACLED recorded 10,600 demonstrations between May 24 and Aug. 22 and found that only about 570 involved protesters engaged in violence. “Well over 80% of all demonstrations are connected to the Black Lives Matter movement or the COVID-19 pandemic,” the report said.
So it’s like this:
Mike Pence: There were riots and looting following George Floyd’s death.
NPR: There were only 570 violent riots following George Floyd’s death, so Mike Pence is lying.
570 riots over the course of 3 months breaks down to 190 riots a month. That’s 47 riots a week or 7 riots a day.
It is NPR’s expert liberal opinion that 7 violent riots every single day for 3 months means that there were no violent riots at all. I guess if it had been above 10 riots a day they might have acknowledged that some of the “peaceful” riots were slightly less than peaceful, but 7? Forget about it.
As for Portland, which has been in a constant state of violent unrest for over 4 months, the NPR had their back too even though Pence never mentioned the city:
The report also found that even in urban areas like Portland, Ore. — which has seen months of protests — violent demonstrations are “largely confined to specific blocks, rather than dispersed throughout the city.”
So if a riot doesn’t engulf the entire city, it never happened? This is a Zen question for liberal morons: If a riot happens and the liberal media ignores it, does it make a sound?
What riot hasn’t been confined to specific areas? Has there ever been riots that happen in vague undefined locations? Everything that happens occurs in a specific location. Just because the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is confined to the Central Park area doesn’t mean it never happened in NYC.
For most of the summer riot season the fake news industry has been characterizing the violence and destruction as “mostly peaceful.” NPR has taken the next step of denying the existence of the rioting and looting that we have been watching on TV and the Internet for the past 4 months. This pathetic fact-check is NPR’s way of saying that your eyes are some lying motherf*ckers.
