We knew this was coming: the truth is racist. Republican Senator Ron Johnson said the Capitol riots didn’t seem like an armed insurrection, as democrats contend, because none of the rioters were actually armed. CNN’s Don Lemon was incensed by this astute observation and accused Johnson of white supremacy for stating a fact.
Wisconsin Senator Ron Johnson was on Jay Weber’s radio show talking about the events of January 6:
“The fact of the matter is, this didn’t seem like an armed insurrection, to me. When you hear of armed, don’t you think of firearms? Here’s the question I would’ve liked to ask. How many firearms were confiscated? How many shots were fired? I’m only aware of one,” said Johnson.
Very true. Only one shot was fired and that was by a Capitol Police officer at a Trump supporter. Beyond that, you haven’t seen any pictures of protesters in the Capitol holding guns or knives. You’ve never heard a story about anyone being arrested in the Capitol in possession of a firearm. Shit like that would have been big news. Someone with a plastic toy gun would have had CNN freaking out for a solid week.
“If that was a planned armed insurrection, man, you really have a bunch of idiots,” added Johnson.
Again, very true. If Trump supporters and white supremacists intended to take the Capitol by force, they would have brought and used firearms. Instead it was a bunch of unarmed leftists pretending to take over the Capitol so the democrats could weaponize the nothing burger against Trump, Republicans, and conservative Americans.
Don Lemon is part of the liberal media propaganda machine and has to maintain the lie that there was an armed insurrection so he try playing the race card to discredit Johnson for speaking the truth:
CNN anchor Brianna Keilar played the clip of Johnson’s truthful observation calling it “bizarre” and then claimed the Capitol rioters were heavily armed:
“People just walked out of the Capitol, they weren’t even searched for weapons. There were many weapons. Clearly this was a deadly insurrection,” said Keilar.
If the people weren’t searched for weapons, how does Keiler know they had weapons? Also, Johnson didn’t question whether it was a “deadly insurrection,” which it wasn’t, he said it didn’t seem like an “armed insurrection.” This is fake news at its finest.
No, actually, Don Lemon’s response is:
“The hoops that people will jump to through for, first of all, their political ideology, second of all their way of life, and to continue white supremacy, that’s what that is,” said Lemon.
Lemon then also tried to claim there were weapons with as much bullshit as Keilar:
“We know they had weapons. We know they had tear gas. We’re not sure of all the weapons they had because they were allowed to go,” Lemon said.
Johnson said very specifically that there were no firearms. He made no mention of tear gas.
Lemon doesn’t give a shit about facts because falsely accusing people of racism with a bullshit “what if” argument supports his narrative where the truth would destroy it. Check this shit out:
“If this was a black people storming the Capitol, mostly men, they would have been shot. I think everyone agrees it would have been much worse,” said Lemon.
Lemon’s argument here is that Senator Johnson is a white supremacist for saying unarmed rioters were unarmed because if they had been “a black people” they would have been shot. There’s a reason why Don Lemon has the title of “Dumbest Guy on TV” and he clearly intends on defending that belt.
