Those who constantly obsess about race are the real racists.
Depending on what Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s motley crew of legislative insurrectionists in the House have planned, it looks like the crown jewel of the progressive Democrat agenda, the $15 minimum wage is on the course for defeat.
There was much weeping and gnashing of teeth along with torrents of hate vomited up by the Twitter mob after Senate parliamentarian Elizabeth MacDonough ruled that the wage hike provision didn’t qualify the legislation for the reconciliation process that would have allowed it to be passed without minority support, leading to angry calls to eliminate the filibuster.
On Saturday, the heaping greasy pork sandwich of the $1.9 trillion COVID relief bill that is in actuality, a mammoth giveaway to liberal special interests, foreign countries along with bailouts for blue states that have been mismanaged by Democrat governors passed the Senate without the $15 minimum wage, a result that was as painful to communists like Bernie Sanders as passing a kidney stone.
It could be that the ever-cunning Pelosi and other Democrat lawmakers have abandoned the fight for $15 as the hill that they will die on when it comes to eliminating the filibuster, possibly because race couldn’t be sufficiently weaponized for such a drastic measure that would strip Republicans of any power whatsoever.
Now, in a sign that the real war is on the horizon, Congressional Black Caucus kingpin James Clyburn has let the cat out of the bag that the Democrats’ bill that will federalize the sort of cheating and voter fraud that went down in big black cities that essentially cost Donald J. Trump his reelection is the line in the sand over the filibuster and that Dems are prepared to further inflame racial tensions in order to fortify their congressional majority forever.
Like with everything else that Democrats don’t like, the longtime procedure that is the only roadblock to one-party dictatorial rule is (wait for it) racist.
That according to Rep. James Clyburn, the driving force between the resurrection of Biden’s flailing campaign last year who engineered the Super Tuesday ambush of poor old Bernie and who insisted that the former veep pick a black female for a running mate.
In an interview with the UK Guardian, the South Carolina congressman and House Majority Whip made it clear that the filibuster isn’t going to prevent his party from ensuring that there is never again a free and fair election conducted in the United States.

Via The Guardian, “Top House Democrat Jim Clyburn: ‘No way we’d let filibuster deny voting rights'”:
In an interview with the Guardian this week, Clyburn called out two moderate Democratic senators, Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema, who have opposed getting rid of the filibuster. Republicans across the country are advancing sweeping measures to curtail voting rights and letting expansive voting rights legislation die would harm Democrats, Clyburn said.
“There’s no way under the sun that in 2021 that we are going to allow the filibuster to be used to deny voting rights. That just ain’t gonna happen. That would be catastrophic,” he said. “If Manchin and Sinema enjoy being in the majority, they had better figure out a way to get around the filibuster when it comes to voting and civil rights.”
Clyburn issued that warning ahead of the 56th anniversary of Bloody Sunday, the day in 1965 when law enforcement officers brutally beat voting rights activists in Selma, Alabama.
Clyburn and other House Democrats have been hoping the early days of Joe Biden’s administration will be marked by passage of a bill named after the late congressman John Lewis of Georgia, a civil rights hero who was nearly killed on Bloody Sunday. That measure would restore a key provision of the Voting Rights Act, gutted by the supreme court in 2013, that required places with a history of voting discrimination to get election changes cleared by the federal government before they took effect.
“Here we are talking about the Voting Rights Act he worked so hard for and that’s named in his honor and they’re going to filibuster it to death? That ain’t gonna happen,” Clyburn said.
But the likelihood of that bill becoming law is doubtful under current procedures. Democrats expect Republicans to find a reason to filibuster it after its expected passage through the House of Representatives and consideration in the Senate. Thus Clyburn is calling for some kind of workaround of the filibuster in the current legislative climate, in which the Senate is split 50-50 and use of the legislative obstructing mechanism is all too common.
“I’m not going to say that you must get rid of the filibuster. I would say you would do well to develop a Manchin-Sinema rule on getting around the filibuster as it relates to race and civil rights,” Clyburn said.
Clyburn isn’t above waving the bloody shirt, and by invoking fellow race traveler and Democrat machine politician John Lewis who died last year, Clyburn is either going to push for a “loophole” that will allow his party to circumvent the legitimate legislative process on all things that are related to race which will mean that every piece of the left’s extremist agenda will be wrapped in racial “justice” or more accurately, the systemic oppression of the rights of white people.
