GOOD NEWS:
There’s a troubling revelation bubbling up in the Lone Star State for democrats. Republicans are ecstatic and, of course, democrats are stunned.
And it’s all about a mayor’s race.
Ryan Girdusky had a good short, sweet summary reaction, when he said “Holy cow… Republicans just flipped the mayorship of McAllen, Texas.”
Why holy cow? Girdusky adds “This was not expected and shows Hispanics in South Texas may have shifted with the GOP even post Trump.”
Trump pulled in more of the Hispanic and Black vote than any Republican, and more than Democrats at CNN will ever mention out loud.
As RedState writes, the fear Democrats feel over it isn’t just about the who it’s about the WHY. Because the WHY is immigration.
Nickarama continues:
Now there’s more evidence of Republican policies pulling more Hispanic voters to the GOP, with some great news late Saturday out of Texas.
Republican Javier Villalobos just won the election for mayor of McAllen, Texas in a big surprise. He’s a GOP county chair.
Villalobos defeated Veronica Whitacre — in a close race — in a city that is 85% Hispanic. McAllen is in Hidalgo County, which went to Joe Biden by 17 points. So, that’s a big thing.
One has to wonder if, in this border community, more people were rejecting the Democrats because of the failure of Joe Biden to do anything to deal with the crisis there, and the harm and stress it’s putting on those towns.
Newsmax host and former Trump campaign advisor Steve Cortes had a similar reaction to the news. “Amazing news! McAllen, Texas is a major border town of 140,000 people. 85% Hispanic — and just elected a Republican mayor,” he wrote. “The macro realignment accelerates in South Texas, and elsewhere, as Hispanics rally to America First: Strong Borders, Economic Nationalism, Pro-Police”
To put it really really succinctly:
For every two Karens the GOP lost in Fort Worth and Houston, they gained a Juan in the RGV

I can tell y’all right now that whatever you hear on the news about the Hispanic voter in America, if you aren’t from Texas you don’t really know. The Democrats think open borders mean more Democrats, and for a while that might be true. But the legal immigrant population of America, and those who descended from legal immigrants, are not sticking with the party that wants to alter the American landscape and the American dream by importing socialist values.
Not in Texas. Not in South Florida. Not in the voting booth. Not in the Mayor’s race in McAllen.
Is this the watershed moment—the democrat voter block becoming aware that their elected representatives have ulterior intentions for them and their country? This Republican turnover must be sung from every vantage point possible. The Left Stream Media certainly will not give any air time to this occurrence.
