In many ways, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is the face of the democratic party. The dimwit progressive has pushed the party in a woke socialist direction, which is why the democrats keep losing. In another more appropriate way, AOC is the face of the democratic party because their mascot is a donkey and she has donkey teeth. According to AOC, the democrats are fools for not using her donkey face to win elections.
Earlier this month when Republican Glenn Youngkin defeated democrat Terry McAwful in the blue state of Virginia’s governor’s race, it was generally accepted that wokeness of the democratic party was the reason. AOC however disagrees and thinks if she had campaigned in Virginia it was have spelled victory for the democrats.
“Before the Virginia elections, it was very clear that our help and our participation was not wanted or asked for, which is fine. I’m not here to tell people how to run their races. But at the same time, to consider the members here that have some of the tightest relationships to our political base as just a uniform liability – and not something that can be selectively deployed, or consulted, or anything – I think it’s just sad. I think it was a mistake,” said Ocasio-Cortez in a NY Times interview.
“And we saw a big youth turnout collapse. Not a single person asked me to send an email, not even to my own list. And then they turn around and say, ‘It’s their fault.’ When I think it was communicated quite expressly that we were unwelcome to pitch in. The idea that we just accept a collapse in youth turnout – and essentially turn it into a self-fulfilling prophecy – in times when races are decided by such narrow margin points: I think it’s ill advised,” Ocasio Cortez said.
The delusion is strong with this one. The idea that AOC could have turned the Virginia governor’s race in favor of the democrats is demonstrably false. On the same day that McAwful fell, so did another democrat who AOC was allowed to campaign for. The radical socialist and AOC-endorsed India Walton lost the Buffalo mayoral election to write-in candidate Byron Brown. When do write-in candidates ever win anything? When they are running against a candidate endorsed by AOC, that’s when.
In the 2020 election that democrat Joe Biden “won” down-ballot democrats in the House of Representatives races faired quite poorly. The reason for the unexpected “Red Wave” was because voters are turned off by the “defund the police” socialist nonsense spouted by AOC and her her fellow progressive retards.
In the 2021 Virginia gubernatorial election, the major issue was education and more specifically, parents not wanting their children being taut that they are racist oppressors. If AOC came in and told them they are racist for opposing Critical Race Theory, Youngkin would have won by double digits.
The only campaign AOC is good for is a Republican opponent. She is so loathed outside of her liberal bubble that an endorsement from her is a kiss of death for a democrat. And that, BTW, is why she wasn’t invited to Virginia.
AOC of course can’t understand this simple premise and probably thinks the democrats are racist for not making an empowered woman of color the public face of the party.
