Tyrants make up arbitrary rules that only the peasants must follow and nobody is more tyrannical or hypocritical than House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. In her latest reign of terror she banned the use of gendered terms like “mother” and “wife” and then promptly violated that ban. Her newest kick is to force House members to pass through a metal detector before entering the House floor, punishable by a fine, and wouldn’t you know it, she bypassed this security theater protocol while fining Republicans for doing the same thing.
Pelosi has called Republicans “the enemy within” and accused them of bringing guns to the House floor to threaten democrats. As such, she has set up a metal detector at the entrance of the House chamber and requires all members to pass through. Failure to comply results in a $5,000 fine.

The House passed a measure Tuesday requiring all members to pass through magnetometers Capitol Hill police erected outside the House chamber following the Capitol riot last month. Democrats had called for the measure after several Republicans had claimed to be armed in the chamber during the Jan. 6 riot. Members of Congress are allowed to carry firearms in the Capitol, but not on the floor.
Several Republican lawmakers, including Reps. Lauren Boebert of Colorado and Louie Gohmert of Texas, flatly refused to walk through the metal detectors before entering the chamber — prompting Pelosi to add a penalty for noncompliance.
Lawmakers are now slapped with a $5,000 fine the first time they violate the new security protocols, followed by a $10,000 fine for each additional violation.
But, this draconian rule is not for everybody, just Republicans:
Republicans are promising a “huge push” to pressure House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., to pay the fine she imposed for bypassing magnetometers installed after the Capitol riot to enter the House floor.
Rep. Rodney Davis, R-Ill., detailed to Fox News his firsthand account of watching the speaker enter the House floor from a forbidden entrance on Thursday.
“She opened the session on the floor, she came through what is known as the Speaker’s lobby. We are all told, one Republican was fined for doing this just yesterday, that you cannot walk through those entrances unless you are disabled,” said Davis.
Rep. Louie Gohmert, R-Texas, was slapped with a $5,000 fine Friday for bypassing metal detectors when he said he’d left the House floor to use the bathroom.
“Capitol Police cannot only file reports of violations on Republicans and look the other way when the most powerful person in the House, the speaker, flouts her own rules,” said Davis.
“Now is this a smart rule? No. Is this a rule that makes sense? No of course not. But that’s not the point, the point is they’re her rules. She’s literally confiscated property in the form of money, which we think is unconstitutional, but in any case they’re doing it. She won’t abide by the rules herself so we’re going to make a huge push for her to actually have to pay that fine,” said Rep. Dan Crenshaw, R-Texas.
Republicans are forgetting a couple of things here: Democrats don’t give a shit about the Constitution but they are completely full of shit. Somehow democrats have a constitutional “walk-around” and a “hypocrisy clause” that allows them to violate the unconstitutional rules they impose on others.
Not only won’t Nancy Pelosi pay the fine, she will also accuse Republicans of “violence” for suggesting that she should have to follow the rules that she made up. She’ll probably also use this to censure Republicans and strip them of their committee assailments. Tyrants are nothing if not predictable.
