When you think of American traditions, freedom, self-reliance, and opportunity probably come to mind. According the Biden administration, illegal immigration is our proudest and most important tradition. Department of Homeland Security Secretary, Alejandro Mayorkas, defended the lack of border security by stating that allowing illegals to flood the country is what we were founded on.
At Joe Biden’s direction, immigration enforcement has all but disappeared and there has been a steady flood of illegals since he took office. This self-made border crisis got worse last week when tens of thousands of Haitian illegal aliens stormed the border at Del Rio, Texas.
DHS head Alejandro Mayorkas went on Fox News to spin the disaster, but Chris Wallace wasn’t having it:
“You say 30,000 people walked across that dam into Del Rio in 17 days, question: why didn’t you stop them?” Wallace asked.
“Oh, so we encountered them at the border, that’s were we encountered them, Chris, and, you know what, we saw indeed a large number of people cross at one particular part of the border in a short period of time,” Mayorkas said.
That ain’t an answer, which is something Wallace pointed out:
“Why didn’t you stop them from coming into the country?” Wallace asked again.
“We did,” replied Mayorkas.
Keep in mind that this lie came right after Mayorkas admitted that they had processed and released over ten thousand Haitians into the U.S.
“My question is, why did you allow them into the country in the first place? Why didn’t you build, forgive me, a wall or a fence to stop them from walking in, the flood of people coming across the dam? It looks like a highway that allows them to cross the Rio Grande” Wallace asked.
Get ready for it:
“It is this policy, the policy of this administration, uh, we do not agree with building of the wall. The law provides that individuals can make a claim for humanitarian relief. That’s actually one of our proudest traditions,” Mayorkas said.
Actually, it’s not. I don’t doubt that it’s a Biden administration policy to have open borders, but to say letting illegals freely cross into our country is a tradition is a lie. It’s not even a democratic party tradition like slavery and segregation.
Up until Trump, democrats were against illegal immigration, Yes, Obama did give amnesty to the “Dreamers” but they didn’t call him the “Deporter-in-Chief” for nothing. He, and his VP, Joe Biden deported the most illegal aliens since Operation Wetback in the 1950s. Before that, Bill Clinton was strong on border security and immigration enforcement as well. Even Biden as a Senator gave impassioned speeches from the Senate floor against illegal immigration.
Dorkas Mayorkas continued to bullshit and dodge questions throughout this interview. He referred to illegal immigration as “irregular immigration” and gave Chris Wallace shit for calling it a “flood” of illegal crossings.
Mayorkas claiming that allowing illegal immigration is proud American tradition is actually part of the liberal tradition of destroying America traditions. Like when they say things such as abortion and gun control are part of our American values or socialism is who we are as a country.They try to rebrand horrible things opposed by most decent people as foundational building blocks of our country.
How many times have you seen Joe Biden describe something bullshit as being “part of our DNA?” That’s what’s going on here.
